I am very disappointed sushiland (along with all other sushi outlets) are not considering the environmental impact their shop is having on nz. They use plastic packaging on everything. I went in to hornby sushiland and asked if they would consider using cardboard boxes instead of all the plastic packaging. The girl was disinterested and barely answered me, saying she would tell the boss. No one greeted or smiled at me and had to wait a good few minutes before anyone looked up to talk to me. Disappointing…especially on our landfill!

Food excellent and value for money for two adults. We complimented the chef. There should be more people coming into Asahi to experience their fresh and simply delicate food. We have decided to become regulars. Well done Asahi (Wairau).

Recommended to me by multiple people so today I went to try it out. Found a piece of metal almost the size of my fingernail in a piece of chicken teriyaki. Needless to say I will not be going back.

I have eaten at Kyoya for 15 years. It is a much loved local restaurant that only serves food of the highest standard. The staff are impeccably well mannered and friendly and we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have a local establishment that has never wavered in its service nor in the of its quality of food. Thank you Kyoya
